Growing up, I was the only techie person in the family. I was usually shunned for it. Now that I am the dad of a family my techiness is not only acceptable, it has rubbed off on my wife, my kids and even the foster kids. An example of our family techiness is scripture reading time. Everyone has either an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with the scriptures on it and we always read from these.
A couple of days ago, all the older kids and I ended up going to various activities and left mom home with all five little kids to bathe, dress, read scriptures, brush teeth and put to bed. As she finished up dressing the kids and told them to gather for scriptures, Andrew told the rest of the kids that he had his scriptures on his phone and informed everyone the we were on Alma 3. Surprise, mom corrected Andrew and said we were on Alma 10. Maddy then pulled out her "phone", and said she had Alma 10 and wanted to read from her "phone" too. I wonder how techie their kids wil be?
